About the Foundation
Make A Difference Foundation, (MADF) was founded in 2002 by Todd Dowell.
MADF is geared towards mentoring athletes academically, athletically and socially that are negatively affected by peer pressure, gang influence, broken family and adverse community situations.
Recognizing the need, Todd partnered with Christopher (Chris) Varner, (former Montgomery Sheriff) and Tracy Varner, (former Montgomery Police Officer). Together the three of them developed programs and strategies to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Athletics was the catalyst to developing this program. Through athletics a nurturing relationship built on trust was formed.
In 2004 MADF received 501c3-exemption status.
